THE ULTIMATE STRENGTH SPORT

Streetlifting is a competitive weighted calisthenics-based strength sport that tests one rep maxes in four movements: muscle up, pull, dip, and squat. Athletes are separated based on sex and bodyweight. Each competitor receives 3 attempts to maximize the added weight they can lift, with the highest successful attempt in each movement counting towards their total. Rankings are based on the highest total.

Muscle Up

The muscle-up is a powerful, hybrid movement that combines a pull-up and a dip into one explosive exercise. It requires raw strength, control, and technique to transition your body from below the bar to above it in a single, fluid motion. More than just a show of upper-body dominance, the muscle-up is a rite of passage in streetlifting—an epic display of athleticism that separates the strong from the elite.

Pull

The weighted pull is the ultimate progression of raw pulling power. Strapping extra weight to your body turns a classic strength test into a brutal showcase of dominance. It demands elite back, arm, and core strength—and exposes any weaknesses instantly. Every rep is a battle against gravity and added resistance, proving you're not just strong for your size—you’re strong, period. It’s the lift where bodyweight mastery meets serious load.

Dip

The weighted dip is a no-nonsense chest, triceps, and shoulder destroyer. Adding weight turns this already demanding movement into a true strength gauntlet—no momentum, no excuses. Every rep forces you to control serious load while pressing your body up from deep, joint-stressing positions. It’s brutal, humbling, and insanely effective. In streetlifting, the weighted dip is a main event. Pure pressing power, exposed.

Squat

In streetlifting, the squat is the foundation of lower-body strength—pure, uncompromising, and heavy. It complements the upper-body focus of weighted pull-ups and dips by building the raw leg power every serious athlete needs. A strong squat means a stronger frame, better balance, and total-body coordination under load. No fluff, no half-reps—just deep, controlled movement with weight that demands respect. In a sport driven by performance, the squat keeps your base brutal and unbreakable.

FAQs

HOW DO I START STREETLIFTING?

Begin by mastering bodyweight exercises like pull-ups, dips, push-ups, and squats. Gradually add weights using a dip belt or weighted vest, focusing on proper form and progressive overload. Start light, track progress, and increase weight or reps over time.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR STREETLIFTING?

At minimum, you would need a pull-up bar, dip bars, weights, and a dip belt to train for the classic format. For the All4 format, you would also need a barbell and squat rack as well as a pull-up bar with adequate ceiling space. If you don't have access to this equipment in your gym or home, you may find it in a local park.
